Dear FIFA Communications Team,
I hope this message finds you well.
As one of the world’s most influential international sports organizations, FIFA has played a vital role in connecting people across cultures, languages, and nations through football.
Recently, many Chinese football fans noticed that the FIFA official website currently does not provide a Chinese-language interface. This has attracted considerable discussion among Chinese internet users and football audiences.
This suggestion is made from the perspective of international communication and cross-cultural engagement, with the hope of strengthening mutual understanding and long-term connection between FIFA and Chinese-speaking audiences.
I respectfully wish to suggest that FIFA consider adding — or restoring — Chinese-language pages on its official website in the future.
Today, China represents one of the world’s largest football audiences and sports markets. Chinese viewers, sponsors, media platforms, and football communities have become an increasingly important part of the global football ecosystem. In this context, providing Chinese-language access would not only improve user experience for Chinese-speaking audiences, but also strengthen FIFA’s connection with millions of football fans across China and other Chinese-speaking communities worldwide.
Language support is not merely a technical arrangement. For many users, it also symbolizes inclusion, recognition, and respect for cultural diversity. As a global organization committed to international engagement, FIFA’s embrace of multilingual accessibility would further reflect the universal spirit of football.
Football is a global sport, and global sports institutions are strongest when people from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds feel equally welcomed and respected.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
BI Yantao
